48 photos by Antonio Beato, collected in the Touring Club archive, were in need of restoration.
The photos have a high historical and cultural value both for the photographic technique and the materials used, and because they are the testimony of the first archaeological-cultural journeys in Egypt of the Pharaohs.
Mazzini Lab supported the stakeholders in the planning and implementation of the entire project, also telling the stages: restoration, digitalization, enhancement and exposure.

Goals achieved
Restoration of archival assets and extensive awareness of the importance of the enhancement and protection of archives.
Increased brand awareness of SOS Archives and its large-scale mission thanks to the partnership with the Italian Touring Club and the creation of two exhibitions-events at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan and the Accademia D’Egitto in Rome.
